Mishap victims saved

IMPHAL, Aug 13: A truck bearing regn No. MN01 1560 with four labourers including the driver moving on NH-39 from Imphal – Dimapur lost control and slipped down 100 ft into the valley near Lairongchin Village today.

Immediately rescue operation was launched by the Assam Rifles troops and the injured were admitted in 36 Assam Rifles unit hospital. The medical team lead by the medical officers of 36 Assam Rifles provided necessary medical aid to the victims after which three of them were discharged fit and one individual who was seriously injured was timely shifted to the Senapati district Hospital in the 36 Assam Rifles ambulance. The families of the victims expressed their gratitude towards the Assam Rifles, said a release of PRO IGAR (S).
