IMPHAL, Sep 12: At least 146 loaded trucks have been escorted back to Imphal on the National Highway-39 by the CRPF today.
Out of the 146 trucks it is reported that 22 were oil tankers, five bullet tankers while the rest were said to be carrying essential commodities.
The trucks were escorted back safely by a team of CRPF after being stranded at Kohima due to the condition of the road.
Meanwhile, a number of vehicles were reportedly stranded at Jiribam due to bad condition of the NH-53.
