IMPHAL, Sep 22: The Assam Rifles Football tournament named ‘Thoubal Cup’ organised by 15 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) with the assistance of District Football Association (DFA), Thoubal culminated on 21st September, at Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School Football ground, Thoubal. The tournament was played on knockout basis and Sena Atheletics Organisation (SAO) of Kakching and United Brothers Sporting Association (UBSA) of Mantak reached the final. UBSA team won the match by defeating SAO 2-1. Commander 9 Sector Assam Rifles and K Megachandra Singh, MLA presented the prizes for Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Scorer and the Winner Trophy.
