IMPHAL, Sept 19: The chief minister, Okram Ibobi, has expressed immense pleasure and joy on Mary Kom winning the 5th World Women’s boxing title in Bridgetown (Barbados) on September 18.
In his message, the chief minister stated that it is a moment of supreme pride for the people of Manipur that despite all the odds, Mary Kom has won the World Championship consecutively for the fifth time. Her feat will be recorded in golden letters in the annuals of sports history of India and Manipur. The CM has extended heartiest congratulations to Mary Kom on her achievement and is confident that she will bring more laurels for the state and the Nation in the future.
