Eid greetings
IMPHAL, Sep 8: The president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Gaikhangam, has extended his warm greetings to the Muslim community of the state on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Community Party of India, Manipur State Council, Manipur University Muslim Students’ Union (MUMSU), Muslim Students’ Union of Manipur (MSUM) have also wished the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Trinamool Greets
IMPHAL, Sep 8: The Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress in a press release has extended warm greetings for the month-long festival celebrated by the Muslim community in Manipur. The party also hosted a ‘high-tea-party’ at the party head office premises on the occasion of ‘Iftar’. Further they wished the Muslim community on the occasion of Idul-Fitr.

IMPHAL, Sep 8: Advance Id-ul-Fitr Iftar was held today at Ghani English High School Hatta organized by the All Manipur United Clubs Organisation and All Manipur Muslim Development Organization.
During the function President of AMUCO KT Rahman, President of AMMDO Md. Ayub Khan and Eto Tongbram were on dais as the chief guest, president and guest of honor.
During the get-together of different communities at today’s Iftar, president AMUCO KT Rahman said that among the 12 months in a year the month of Ramjan is the most important month for the Muslims in the world. During Ramjan, mass prayers were conducted by each Muslim by fasting 30 days during the day time with meals only in night time.
He further said that we being Manipuri need to join hands and guard the state’s territorial integrity and also added that no religion says to create problems for others, but instead love each other and think of all as brothers and sisters.
Iftar at Soura
IMPHAL, Sep 8: As part of the ongoing efforts of 21 Assam Rifles to usher an era of peace and spread the message of communal harmony and good faith amongst locals an Iftaar party was organised at Soura village of Thoubal dist by 21 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 9 Sector, AR on 08 Sep 10.
The party to break the fast kept on the occasion of holy Ramzan was an auspicious occasion wherein about 700 locals including ladies, children and soldiers of 21 Assam Rifles attended. The function was attended by Col Manish Sinha, Comdt 21 Assam Rifles, he was thanked by the entire civilian population present and specially by the Maulavi and the Pradhan of Soura village and expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards 21 Assam Rifles for its efforts in bringing peace and harmony in the area.
