Governor’s greetings on Janmastami

IMPHAL, Sep 1:  The Governor of Manipur Gurbachan Jagat has extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur on the sacred and auspicious occasion of “Janmastami”.  In his greeting, the Governor stated that while celebrating the occasion where Lord Krishna took birth on this earth in order to rescue the world from the clutches of evil and to create a new world order based on justice, equality, love and fair play, we should re-dedicate ourselves to the ideals, eternal values and the path of righteousness as espoused by Him through the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

While conveying his heartiest greetings to all, the Governor stated that he was confident that by emulating the message of Lord Krishna through the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, mankind would be able to build a more civilized society and peaceful world.

Major General CA Krishnan, IGAR (South) and all ranks of Assam Rifles have also extended warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of “Janmastami”.

A message from IGAR (South) also expressed that this festival may herald an era of peace, progress and prosperity in the region and enhance the spirit of unity, cohesiveness and brotherhood amongst all communities of the state.
