NEW DELHI, Sep 11: Kongbam Chandramani, Associate Professor of Physics, Delhi University teaching at Sri Venkateswara College, New Delhi left here this morning for Rome to attend the Xth International Conference on Nanostructured Materials (NANO 2010) at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome, Italy from September 13-17.
He will deliver a talk on “Size effect of starting nanoparticles on the electrical and piezoelectric properties of barium stannate titanate ceramics” on September 17 in the conference.
Kongbam Chandramani delivered talks in many international conferences held in India and abroad. He delivered an invited talks in the “International Conference on Nanomaterials: Synthesis, Characterization and Applications” at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, in April 2010; the “Fifteenth International Conference on Positron Annihilation” at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata in January 2009; the “Thirteenth International Conference on Positron Annihilation” in Japan in September 2003.
He presented papers in the “Twelveth International Conference on Positron Annihilation” in Germany in August 2000 and the “Third National Conference on Positron Annihilation and Compton Profile”, at University of Rajasthan in Jaipur in January 1990.
He authored two books on Physics namely Basic Physics (ISBN 978-81-203-3708-4, 2009) published by PHI Learning Private Limited and Physics (ISBN 81-7596-343-3, 2007) by Cambridge University Press.
His research papers numbering 25 were published in many international publications. He got the lifetime memberships of the Materials Research Society of India (MRSI) and the Electron Microscope Society of India (EMSI).
Chandramani is the fourth son of Late Kongbam Iboyaima and Kongbam Ongbi Ibeyaima of Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal, Imphal.
NANO 2010 is the highest level international conference designed to bring together the international community of scientists and engineers interested in recent developments on nanostructured materials in many different fields. It will foster the exchange of ideas, techniques, experiments and applications in this exciting and rapidly developing field. In particular, it will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of new concepts, properties and developments on new science and novel materials in the nanoregime, new functional nanomaterials, applications in nanoelectronics, energy, photonics, nanobiotechnology, devices and sensors.
The Xth International Conference on “Nanostructured Materials” (NANO 2010) is a conference belonging to the prestigious series of biannual conferences organized under the auspices of the International Committee on Nanostructured Materials initiated in 1992 and held in Cancun – Mexico (1992), Stuttgart – Germany (1994), Kona – Hawaii, USA (1996), Stockholm – Sweden (1998), Sendai – Japan (2000), Orlando – USA (2002), Wiesbaden – Germany (2004), Bangalore (India) (2006), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) (2008). NANO Conference is the traditional meeting place for most nanomaterials researchers, where the state-of-the-art research and latest advanced findings in the field are presented.
A range of topics at the frontier of knowledge in the field of nanomaterials will be discussed in technical sessions that will host also a wide number of distinguished scientists involved in plenary and invited presentations.
