IMPHAL, Sept 3: The proscribe Kangleipak Communist Party, in a statement, has clarified that the outfit is not related with serving of extortion demand to teachers of Johnstone higher secondary school and Anand Singh higher secondary school.
A KCP statement issued by its information and publicity secretary H Poirei said extortionists nabbed by students and teachers at the schools on August 30 and September 1 claimed themselves as member of KCP (Noyon) and at the same time as claimed to be police commando.
The outfit further said the incidents which occurred at the two premier higher secondary schools of the state are fallout of security force personnel’s effort to earn easy money by taking advantage of insurgency movement.
The outfit also expressed its sincere gratitude to students and teachers of the two school for revealing true picture of those who are trying to undermine revolutionaries. This could be a new beginning for ending activities of the imposter who are giving a bad name to revolutionaries, the KCP statement added.
The world is today becoming a global village due to advancement in technology, particularly after the twist from industrial economy to global economy based on electronics. But for Manipur which legged far behind in the race to globalisation and posses meagre natural resources, every care much be taken to develop sectors like education, training, health etc. which are collectively termed as human capital.
Understanding the importance of Human Capital, KCP has been taking up various programmes to develop these sectors. Even though there were no formal announcement, the KCP has been almost treating education sector as a free zone and the outfit has no policy of extorting money from this particular sector, the KCP statement maintained.
It also said all the extortion demands made to school and college teachers are imposter of KCP and this information had already been declared by the outfit earlier.
The outfit also declared that stern and necessary action would be initiated against those working in the name of the outfit.
