By A Staff Reporter IMPHAL, Sept 5: SAI and CRPF defeated their respective opponent teams in today’s matches of the ongoing 17th Sangita Memorial Imphal West football league being held at Lilong Chajing Kangjeibung organised by Imphal West Football Association. In the first match, SAI overcome stiff challenge from YAC to win the match with a solitary goal. The all important goal for the SAI was scored by Sh Sanatomba in the 55th minute. YAC player made several attempts to equalise the lone goal deficit but failed to do so till the end of the match. During the match, referee S Suresh booked three yellow cards, one against SAI player and two against YAC. The player who received yellow cards for SAI was Md Sultan while Khamba and Prem were players booked for YAC. In the second match, CRPF continue with their good form in the league to defeat IBSA by a solitary goal. The all important goal for the CRPF was scored by K Brajamani in the 18th minute. During the match, one player each of CRPF and IBSA were shown yellow card by match referee Kh Ranjit. The players booked were RK Roshan of IBSA and S Amarjit of CRPF. Tomorrow, NYC will meet PHLYO while CHIKL will play YPHU.
