IMPHAL, Sept 6: The YWC Thambalkhong beat NISA by 2-1 while NEROCA beat SSU by 3-1 in today’s matches of the ongoing 5th Manipur State League Football Tournament held at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.
In the first ground played between YWC Thambalkhong and NISA, the two goals of YWC were scored by Th. Vandona and K. Rocky in the 34th minute and 41st minute of the match respectively while the lone goal of NISA was scored by Kh. Jolly in the first half of the match.
K. Rocky and Surjit of YWC and L. Ratan of NISA were booked for yellow card during the match.
In the second ground played between NEROCA and SSU, T. Dhiren, scored two goals for NEROCA in the 10th and 33rd minute and S. Heman added another goal in the 67th minute to the account of NEROCA while Kh. Minthing scored a goal for SSU in the 55th minute of the match.
O. Pittch of NEROCA and Inao and Bijen of SSU were booked for yellow card during the match.
TRUGPU will meet AIM and YDO will face USA in tomorrow matches of the tournament.
