IMPHAL, September 1: 11 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 59 Mtn Bde started a Hindi Speaking capsule for the people of Tamenglong. The Capsule has received a huge response and some 300 enthusiastic students from various schools of Tamenglong enlisted their names for the said capsule. The Hindi Speaking Capsule was inaugurated by Brig A K Narula, Cdr 59 Mtn Bde. In his opening address AK Narula elaborated on the importance of Hindi as the most spoken language in India. The people of NE State, where Hindi is not as popular language, find some difficulty in communicating and understanding mainland India.
On this occasion Col PS Chhonkar,SM, Comdt 11 AR said that Hindi which is a language of love and unity will help people of Tamenglong to communicate more effectively when they go out of Manipur for pursuance of higher studies or job oppurtunities.
This noble initiative of 11 Assam Rifles was lauded by all sections of society of Tamenglong. The huge response from the people of Tamenglong to learn Hindi is a significant & positive indicator of people’s desire to restore peace, normalcy and alienate the unlawful elements in the area, which otherwise has been adversely affected by insurgent activities in the past.
