IMPHAL, Oct 19: The JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO has warned to resume indefinite cease work strike of the state government employees in case the state government failed to start implementing the various understanding that had been brought between the government and the JAC.
A release of the JAC stated that the previous indefinite cease work strike of the JAC called against the callous attitude of the state government towards the rights of the state employees was called off after a memorandum of understanding was signed between the representatives of the JAC and the state government. Even after 5 months since the MOU was signed between the two sides, the state government has failed to ensure the implementation of the various agreements.
It also accused the Congress led SPF state government of misleading the public with numerous promises which has never been kept.
The JAC also charged that even though the state chief minister announced implementation of the 6th Central Revised Pay for the state employees at numerous public meetings, state employees are yet to receive the revised pay.
Even though the JAC had agreed on payment of arrears for only 6 months, the state government has failed to issue the orders for the six month arrears.
Citing various other issues where the government had failed to honour the agreements signed between the government and the JAC, the apex employees body warned of resuming cease work strike in case the government remain silent on the matter.
