IMPHAL, Oct 1: The Governor of Manipur, Gurbachan Jagat, has expressed his heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti which is to be celebrated tomorrow as International Day of Non-Violence.
In his message, the Governor maintained that Gandhiji always emphasized on the great importance of spiritual purification of body, mind and soul and also on cleanliness of environment. Cleanliness is a part of his spiritual exercise. A clean environment is an essential prerequisite for good health, which will ultimately beget a pure mind, he said.
