MPHAL, October 29: The Part-Time Lecturer Association, Pettigrew College, Ukhrul in a press note has informed to all concerned that as part of the resolution of the meeting the association held in August,2010, they would be on a cease work strike with effect October 25. As per the press note, the association had served an ultimatum to the Government of Manipur demanding service regularization of part time lecturers and enhancements of remuneration as per the UGC scale. They further stated that since the government did not pay heed till today to their ultimatum, they called an emergency meeting on October 25 and resolved to cease work strike indefinitely until the government fulfills their demands.
