IMPHAL, Oct 13: A combined team of Imphal West district police commandos and 28 AR personnel arrested an active member of PULF (Chandro Group) from Pal Ahanbi Lamkhai. The cadre, Amuba Singakhongbam, 29 yrs, S/o (L) Allauddin Singakhongbam of Lilong Chandkhong Mamei disclosed that he worked under the command of Zakiriya of PULF (Chandro Group). He further disclosed that he used to serve demand letters to the general public located at Lilong.
Further, the Thoubal District Police arrested one UNLF cadre from Salungpham village. The police commandos while acting on the presence of valley based U.G elements in the area conducted a search Ops and arrested the UNLF Cadre at about 11:45 Hrs. The cadre, Thongam Bisho Singh, S/o T.Biren Singh of Salungpham Maning Leikai along with one sympathizer, Sarangthem Chaoba Devi, 34 yrs, W/o S.Hemanta Singh of Salungpham Maning leikai were apprehended and the cadre, Thongam Bisho Singh disclosed that he is an active member of the UNLF, Army No.2045 of 32nd Batch and was given shelter by Sarangthem Chaoba Devi at her house.
