Lamka Nov 15 : The recent cabinet decisions apparently to address the plight of tribals at the state by way of devaluation of powers to the ADCs has been termed by the Churachandpur District Students Union,CDSU, as authoritarian, arbitrary and unacceptable modifications over the existing norms and principles in which post of executives director /DRDA is to be assigned to a Sr . MCS officer.

In a strongly worded representation to the CM of the state CDSU has said as per central guidelines and
recommendation of Hill Areas Committee , HAC, way back on the 6th Sept and also by the subsequent official orders issued on 5th Oct last by concerned department the executive director of DRDA should be the Deputy Commissioner , DC,
It further said in this connection it raises tooth and nail oppositions over the usurpation of powers and authority terming it as a negation , subordination and manipulation of rules , norms and principles on the part of the state government.

Expressing deepest concern due to all this denuoement the CDSU appeal the the CM to take up steps immediately so as to ensure the maintenance of status quo ente with regrds to the post of executive director, DRDA as per the guidelines and norms.
