IMPHAL, Nov 12: Considering the need for taking up emergent and priority works and also to complete some of the ongoing works taken up during the previous years, the state government has recently allocated additional funds of Rs.10171.61 lakhs to the various departments out of available funds.
According to a highly placed official source, the availability of funds under SDF has been further revised and there will be additional funds of Rs. 1400 lakhs be provided for water supply above the approved outlay of Rs.10425 lakhs for the financial year 2010-11 in which the component of water supply scheme at Phaibung Khullen sub-division, construction of RCC overhead tank at Ningthempukhri – 1 lakh gallon, Sallungpham water supply scheme at Sallungpham, construction of zonal reservoir at Lalambung Hillock – 1.5 lakh gallon by providing additional amount of Rs. 200 lakh each and Rs. 200 lakh each for water supply scheme at Moirang Mamangching, Pangei and adjoining village at Waiton and Hiyanglam.
Further additional funds of Rs.980 lakh for the MAHUD above the approved outlay of Rs.10585.03 lakhs for the redevelopment of Lamphel Super Market at an estimated cost of Rs.200 lakh, Rs. 100 lakhs for construction of Mayang Imphal Bazar, Rs.200 lakhs for construction of Moirnag Bazar, Rs.200 lakhs for development of Hapta Kangjeibung and Rs.200 lakh for development of water body conservation and eco tourism at Tangapat, Bijoy Govinda. Additional funds of Rs.200 lakh were also provided for Welfare of SCs and STs above the approved outlay of Rs. 3070 lakh for additional funds of Rs.100 lakhs each for construction of Tribal Market at New Lambulane and Tribal Hostel at Imphal.
Further, additional funds of Rs.900 lakhs above approved outlay of Rs. 2585 lakh for MDS to put additional funds of Rs.65 lakh for development work at Thongju, Rs.50 lakh for Multipurpose Stadium at Panthoibi bazaar and Rs.15 lakhs for improvement of drain Ibudhou Lakpa, Rs.50 lakh for construction of Community hall at Galngam, Moreh Ward No.2, Rs.30 lakh for construction for peace and harmony hall at Moreh, Rs.50 lakh for development of Moreh Public Ground at Ward No.7, Rs.50 lakh for construction of Rest house at Longpi, Chandel district, Rs.50 lakhfor track fields of PT Sport Complex. CCpur, Rs. Lakh for construction of baskeball court at PT sports Complex. CCpur, Rs.70 lakh for construction of Yairipok bazaar, Rs.500 lakh to meet committed liabilities of spilover engineering works for MDS. Beside maximum additional funds of Rs.7794.15 lakh has been provided as revised outlay for the current financial year above the approved outlay of Rs.7794.15 lakh for the purposed additional funds of Rs.129 lakh for improvement of Old Cachar road from 0 to 41.9 km(under economic importance) state share, Rs.1500 lakh for restoration work on NH-53 Imphal-Jiribam portion for re-establishment of connectivity, Rs.300 lakh for rehabilitation on NH-39 from Senapati to Maram, Rs.300 lakh for Pallel-Chandel road, Rs.747 lakh for compensation of both land and standing properties along NH-39 at Thoubal bazaar both eastern and western side and Rs.683 lakh for acquisition of land widening of NH-39 (cost of standing properties) at Singjamei, Oinam Thingel, Sorokhaibam Leiaki, Laiphrakpam Leikai, Naorem Leikai, Langthabal Kunja and Chajing.
The recent revised outlay also includes addition funds of Rs.50 lakh for LDA above the approved outlay of Rs.700 lakh for the purpose of flushing of Phumdi from Pumlen from Pumlen lake through Maramba Maril. Further, additional funds of Rs.1500 lakh was provided for Planning department above the approved outlay of Rs. 4706 lakh for the purpose of additional inputs of funds of Rs.150 lakh for the development of infrastructure for district HQ/SDOs at Ukhrul and Senapati, Rs.150 lakh each for Jessami and Chingai sub-division, Ukhrul, Rs.100 lakh each for Kasom Khullen, Phungyar, Kamjong in Ukhrul district, Rs.300 lakh for Senapati district head quarter, Rs.200 lakh each for Tadubi, Purul and Rs.100 lakh each for Willong and Gampahzong in Senapati district. Besides additional funds of Rs.622.61 lakh was approved to be added to the approved outlay of Rs.1676. for Higher Education for the compensation for IGNTU land acquisition acres at Makhan village, Rs.610 lakh added to the approved outlay of Rs.1302.44 lakh for Sports (YAS) for land acquisition for establishment of Ecopark at the Regional Water Sport Complex, Takmu, Bishnupur district and additional of Rs.250 lakhs for Arts and Culture above the approved outlay of Rs.2183 lakh for the purpose of construction of Multipurpose Complex at Palace Compound estimating Rs.200 lakh, and Rs.50 lakh for construction of a new Guruaribam Mandop, the official source added.
