IMPHAL, Dec 13: The 42 Assam Rifles of headquarter 26 Sector Assam Rifles under IGAR(S) organised a medical and dental camp at Chandel on December 11 as humanitarian help for natives of the Chandel town and adjoining areas.
A medical team consisted of one medical and one dental surgeon led the medical camp which was assisted by other medical staff consisting Nursing Assistant, Pharmacists and Dental technicians.
About 150 medical and 50 dental patients were treated and given medical advises during the camp.
People were also provided CSD facilities and other basic amenities during the camp. School children were also treated on the occasion, said an IGAR (S) release.
The Commander HQ 26 Sect Assam Rifles inaugurated the medical camp and interacted with civil functionaries, heads of NGOs, school principals and village chiefs on the matter concerning the development of the region.
Similarly, a team of Medical Officer and paramedical staff of 15 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) organized a medical camp at Tentha Khunou of Thoubal district today. A large number of patients from Tentha Khunou and adjoining villages were diagnosed and provided medicines during the camp.
Another team of Medical Officer and paramedical staff of 8 Assam Rifles also organized a medical camp at Singheu village of Chandel district on December 12.
