IMPHAL, Dec 16: The state cabinet has proposed a sum of Rs 4021 crores as annual plan size for the year 2011-12 which is about 54 percent more than the previous year’s plan size of Rs 2000 crores.
Speaking to mediapersons this evening, spokesperson of the SPF government N Biren stated that the state cabinet meeting convened today under the chair of Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has proposed a plan size of Rs 4021 crores for the financial year 2011-12.
The cabinet further approved recruitment of 191 posts of Sarva Sikshya Abhiyan (SSA) on contract basis which include one executive engineer, 10 assistant engineers, 15 section officers, 13 system advisors/district coordinators, three assistant coordinators, two senior auditors, 22 accountants, three office assistants and grade-IV personnel.
The cabinet also approved to take a premium of Rs 5000 for the 34 acres of land leased out for the construction of High Court Complex and DIET Centre at Koirengei.
The presentation of financial account and appropriation bill at the ensuing winter session of 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly, formulation of Manipur Government Employees’ List (MGEL) for the employees of Manipur State Legislative Assembly Secretariat and hike in value added tax (VAT) by one percent were also approved by the state cabinet today.
After the cabinet meeting, the state government also discussed the construction of 300 primary schools and 46 primary health centres in the four hill districts of the state by availing a total loan amount of Rs 171 crores from the NABARD.
