IMPHAL, Jan 13: Altogether 12 IPS officers on probations from New Delhi has arrived in the state capital on January 11 as a part of their winter study tour and as attachment of Civil administration in the insurgency affected areas of Manipur.
According to an official source the 12 IPS officers including two lady IPS officers on probations, on their first day of arrival to the Imphal City yesterday inspected the entire areas of Imphal City areas with assistance from the state police department officials.
The source further said that the visiting IPS officers on probations from the New Delhi conducted their attachment visiting tour in Ukhrul district and the same team will continue their attachment tour to the Senapati district head quarter tomorrow and finally will conduct their attachment visit with the state Health and Family Welfare Department from January 15 to 17 in order to overview the situations of drug abuse and rehabilitation programmes that have been undertaken in the state in collaboration with NGOs. The IPS team on probations will be leaving Imphal on January 18, the official source added.
