IMPHAL, Jan 21: Lt Gen Rameshwar Roy, AVSM,YSM, DG Assam Rifles in the presence of troops and civil dignitaries of Kakching area flagged off for an educational tour to Delhi for a group of 23 students along with seven teachers today.
According to an official release from the PRO, IGAR (S) Imphal mentioned that, Lt Gen Rameshwar Roy, AVSM,YSM, DGAR Speaking on the occasion,stated that, the tour was indeed a great opportunity for inmates of various schools of Kakching area of Thoubal District.
Besides, the very, tour is organized by the 27 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR(South). During the tour they are scheduled to visit various historical monuments of the Capital of the country and witness the Republic Day celebration and Beating the Retreat at New Delhi. He further mentioned that the state has to work for the development of the society through education which can bring peace and prosperity into the state the release added.
