IMPHAL, Jan 18: The Council of Tribal Literature Societies, Manipur has today condemned the barbaric act of killing N Kunjabihari Singh, chairman of Board of Secondary Education, Manipur in his own office chamber on the fateful day of January 11.
A release of the council has not only called it as an act of cowardice but also as a crime against all communities of the state as BOSEM is at the centre of education of all language groups in Manipur.
It has further maintained N Kunjabihari Singh as a dedicated senior officer who as committed to the cause of education in Manipur and has been working in his different capacities in the education department including the Council of Higher Secondary Education.
While giving their heartfelt condolence and expressing profound grief on his untimely demise, the council has further appealed to the government of Manipur to book the culprit behind the killing of the chairman at the earliest possible, added the release.
