IMPHAL, Jan 28: A fire created havoc in a house near TNL office, Ukhrul yesterday. The fire broke out and spread to adjoining houses. On receipt of information regarding the incident, fire fighting party of 17 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) rushed to the incident site.
A release of the IGAR has stated that in the ensuring rescue operation the party alongwith locals rescued the entire inhabitant unharmed. An immediate action taken by Assam Rifles alongwith the locals helped to prevent further fire incident in the area, added the release.
