Manipur Rural Bank, Kongba Branch distributes Second phase loans to SHGs

IMPHAL, Jan 8: A one day Self Help Group Bank Linkage Programme was held today at the Laibok community hall organized by the Ningomthong Bazaar Development Community (NBDC).
During the programme, sponsored by Manipur Rural Bank, Kongba Branch, loans were distributed to 41 Self Help Groups (SHG) under Thongju Assembly constituency by social worker Th. Bishwajit Singh as a part of the second phase of the Loan distribution, with further assurance of distributing the remaining loan to the SHGs as the third phase.
Kh. Yaiskul, senior Manager Manipur Rural Bank, presided the programme while Ms. Sarangmath office in charge NARBARD, RO, Manipur and B. Bimol Singh, Branch Manager Manipur Rural Bank Kongba Branch graced the function was chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
Ms Sarangmath, speaking at the function elaborated that SHGs of Manipur doesn’t receive the kind of loan that a SHG of other state are receiving from the union government. He maintained each SHGs in other parts of the country receives around Rs 10-15 lakhs from the union government as loan, and now it has reached that point where the SHGs of Manipur will be receiving the same assistance from the union government and to received such kind of loan the SHGs of the state should maintain a clean and honest attitude while requiting their loan money.
