IMPHAL Jan 29: The 5th Manipur Mega Marathon organized by the United Peoples’ Front (UPF) will be held on February 20. A media committee was instituted today to ensure proper media coverage in the regard. The president and convenor of the media committee has been selected and RK Sanatomba of Hueiyen Lanpao and Sapam Robert of the Telegraph have been given charges today. The marathon is scheduled to begin at 7 am from Khuman Lampak Stadium and will pass through Dingku Road, Thangmeiband, Uripok, Naoremthong, Tera, Kwakeithel ,Khagempalli ,Singjamei ,Kongba, Lamlong and will culminate at the Khuman Lampak Main stadium. The winners of the open marathon will receive a cash award of Rs 30000, 20000 and 15000 respectively alongwith certificates. The UPF has appealed for support from the general public for the smooth functioning of the Mega Marathon.
