IMPHAL, Jan 8: Deputy GOC Red Shield, Brig. RS Grewal inaugurated a unit for the treatment of cardiac patients at Catholic Medical Centre (CMC) hospital Koirengei this morning.
The unit meant for the treatment of cardiac patients at Catholic Medical Centre (CMC) hospital Koirengei was jointly installed by Kolkata based Medica Super Speciality Hospital and CMC hospital Koirengei, Imphal.
During the inaugural function of the unit this morning, a heart specialist doctor from Medica Super Speciality Hospital, Kolkata Dr. Greg mentioned that the newly opened unit at the CMC, Korengei will impart facilities to heart patients of the state and help them to some extend.
He further mentioned that, Medica Super Speciality Hospital, Kolkata has been utilizing advance machineries and equipments for the treatment of heart patients at present, and further added that the installation of such advance machineries and equipments at the CMC hospital will reduce expenses in treatment of heart cases in the state and that Medica Super Speciality Hospital Kolkta will make maximum efforts to attain this CMC hospital to provide world class treatment to heart patients of the state, he added.
Later, Brig. RS Grewal mentioned that exchange of knowledge between the doctors in the two hospitals will enhance heart related treatments besides opening of such unit will certainly provide direct support in the field of health care to the people living under the poverty lines, the Brig. Added.
