IMPHAL, Jan 28: The state electricity department has today collected Rs 17, 74, 286 from the spot bill collection during the power drive conducted in Imphal area.
The power drive was conducted in areas of Palace Compound, Nambul Mapal, Yaiskul Janmasthan, Thangal Bazar, Langol Housing Complex, Khurai Tinsid, Singjamei Supermarket and Singjamei Thongam Leikai.
Altogether 102 defaulting consumers have been disconnected while nine unauthorized consumers have been booked under the Electricity Act, 2003.
The department has so far collected Rs 28, 30, 660 from spot bill collection, disconnected 344 defaulting consumers and booked 58 unauthorized consumers.
