IMPHAL, Feb 15: Discovering the movement of UG cadres in the general area of Kommlathabi, troops of 42 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) launched operation in the area and apprehended one UNLF cadre at around 9 pm on February 14.
According to a pro release, the apprehendee has been identified as No.1875 s/s sgt Okram Thoirakpa alias Shyam Kumar, 30 years, s/o Late Okaram Mangi, r/o Kakching Irum Turei Thoubal district. One 9 mm Pistol with magazine and 3 live rounds were recovered from the apprehendee who alongwith the recoveries was later handed over to Kakching police station, added the release.
