IMPHAL Feb 26: Publicity Secretary of MEELAL Ningthoumacha Meirikkhomba in a press release urged the state government to address the issues of the striking teachers and bring an end to the current stand off.
The release further stated that, the student community bears all the brunt due to the stand off for no false of theirs`™. The educational atmosphere and academic calendar has been greatly disturbed in recent times and the trend seems to be continuing, MEELAL added.
The state needs to tackle the issue as BOSEM/COHSEM exams are approaching and if the status quo prevails then MEELAL will be pressed to intervene in the regard, the release stated.
