IMPHAL Feb 26: At the conclusion of the 32nd Independence Day observation of the RPF, the Assistant publicity secretary of the RPF GM Changjou acknowledged the support of all that made the event a success.
A press release states that it has been 32 years since the outfit has waged war of independence along with the help of the public and the inception day of the outfit has been observed as `Independence Demand Day`.
The observation was held in all units and departments of the RPF. A sports competition in 13 disciplines was held among the cadres at the GHQ starting February 19 and the party President also gave a tribute to the martyred members of the outfit. The awards of the winners in the sports tournament was handed over by the camp commander, similarly such sporting competitions were held in some other countries and a pledge was made to intensify the struggle for independence,the release stated.
