IMPHAL March 15:Under the theme “CHALO GAON KI ORE”, a one day awareness programme was held at Moreh Trade Centre Conference Hall today.
The programme was held by under the sponsorship of the National Commission for Women and organized by the Manipur State Commission for Women.
The programme was graced by Presidium Members Dr.L.Ibetombi Devi(Chairperson-Manipur State Committee for Women),N.Pulindro (President MCM), R.K.Surrendro (President ACODOM) Meira Paibe leader and S.Meghachandra Sharma (Member Secretary, MSCW).
Resource person Meikam Kiran Singh (Advocate) expounded on the topic of Women & Law, I.Inaobi Devi on empowerment of Women, M.Rameshwar Singh (SDPO Moreh) on Role of Police in protection of Women and Prevention of Violence against Women, Dr.H.Prabhahini Devi on Women and Health, Dr.L.I.devi on total health care and the Presidentail speech was given by Dr.L.Ibetombi Devi (Chairperson MSCW ) on the role of women in today`s society.
