IMPHAL March 25: A Representative Office (R O) of the North East Development Corporation (NEDFi) was inaugurated at Rural Aid Service complex at Happy Valley, Churachandpur by the deputy commissioner of the district Jacintha Lazarus today.
The inaugural function of the representative office was graced by DC Lazarus as the chief guest,Oinam Somorendro Meetei ,branch manager of NEDFi as president and Thainkholian Guite,branch manager of SBI and I Pradeepkumar, branch manager of UBI as the guests of honor.
The chief guest in her speech stated that Churachandpur is the second Imphal, she emphasized that awareness must be created to the public regarding the different projects available under NEDFi so as to empower people for self reliance. She said that the repayment problems also need to be shorted out so that development really takes place within the district.
Somorendro in his address also voiced similar notions, he stated that the district has the capacity to develop potential skills and NEDFi is ready to help the entrepreneurs in different working models of conducting business for self employment. He stated that the Churachanpur representative office is the second one to open in the state.
