KCP (Maoist) VC and Publicity Secretary abscond

IMPHAL March 24:    The KCP (Maoist) vice chairman Chinkhuba Meitei and publicity secretary W Malemnganba has absconded from the outfit with arms and cadres under their control, a press release by assistant publicity secretary of the outfit Nonglen Meitei said.
The release further states that the outfit was formed in 2009 and there are three companies of the group. The absconding duo also mislead the 56 cadres of the third company of the outfit, this has shown seed of disunity among the cadres.
The first company set up in February 2010 is under the command of the chairman and general secretary and is the central head quarter. The second company is under the command of the chief of economic affairs and asssistant publicity secretary, the company was set up in September 2010. Both companies have a strength of 120 cadres each.
The third company is under the command of the vice chairman and the publicity secretary with a total of 56 cadres and was founded in January 2011. The absconders took nine UMG’s , fifteen M 16 ,six RPG, twentyfive AK’s, twenty eight 9mm pistols , a hundred and fifteen Chinese grenades along with 12,000 rounds of assorted ammunition.
The third company was formed at a border area of Tamenglong, Churachandpur and Assam. The outfit further stated that the absconders cannot use the name of the outfit and that the party will not be responsible for their actions. 
There are 17 Central Committee members and the loss of two members will not affect the workings of the KCP (Maoist), the outfit further appealed that the cadres should come back and discuss whatever grievances they have, the vice chairman and the publicity secretary should address the issue also, the cadres are welcome to report to any company or members of the KCP(Maoist), it maintained. The outfit has become effective after a hard struggle and the developments can be seen. The outfit appeals to the absconded cadres to think twice and bring an amicable solution instead of trying to show disunity, the release added.
