KOHIMA, Mar 30 (NEPS): The Music task Force, Nagaland is organizing a concert under the theme “Nagaland Contributes” in aid of the victims of the recent Japan earthquake and tsunami here at Khuochiezie Local ground, Kohima on April 1 at 5:00 PM. It is free and all are invited to come and show their solidarity by voluntarily contributing freely to this venture, said G Sema, Protect Director, Music Task Force, while talking to the press here at Kohima Press Club Hall on Wednesday.
Sema said all participating artistes and musicians were performing for free. These artistes and groups include Methaneilie, OFF, Divine Connection, XTC, Dementia, De band, Ebenezer Band, Chakhesang Church Choir, NBCC male Choir, children from Ao Baptist Church, Rengma male voices, Menei Chale, NSACS brand Ambassador 2010, Toshinaro, Naga Idol 2008, Topeni Naga Idol 2009, Menguse-u, Shursoseilie, Alobo, Dr Nicky Kire and many others.
It said Crescendo, Dimapur has sponsored the stage, sound, lights and video coverage for the event as their contribution. Unitext Inc. and XL are on board as event promoters, The Heritage, Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), the Kohima Press Club (KPC) and many well wisher share overwhelmingly by responding to the clarion call of their musicians that “We care.”
Inviting all music lovers and well-wishers and those who are concerned for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan to come and support by freely donating in cash or check that may be deposited in Nagaland Contributes A/C of Axis Bank, Kohima, Sema appealed.
