IMPHAL March 18: A two day conference to address the problems faced by organizations with regard to microfinance was held at New Delhi on March 15 and 16. The conference was organized by Sa Dhan (The association of community development finance institutions) and FCCI under the sponsorship of SBI,SIDBI and FINO,the venue was held at Ashok Hotel.
Among the dignitaries at the conference,Kambam Seityajit(social worker) and chairman of Vision Foundation Manipur and member Ksh Gangarani participated and presented their views on the microfinance sector in the state.
The resource persons at the conference dwelled on the need to restructure certain models of microfinance and re engineer certain models. It was also announced in the conference that a sum of Rs 500 crores will be earmarked for the Self Help Group in the Nation’s budget.
