IMPHAL March 15: A notification by the District Transport Officer Imphal West states that as done in previous years, separate cash counters for payment of tax ,fees etc in respect to both private and government vehicles will be opened from 10am to 3pm for all working days.
It further states that, mobile checking of both private and transport/commercial motor vehicles will be done on specific routes whether the vehicles are having valid documents or not.All vehicle owners are also requested to pay bills in respect of their vehicles to avoid heavy burden of fines likely to be imposed for violation of the provisions of the Manipur Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1998 and Motor Vehicles Act,1988.
