IMPHAL, March 27: The scheduled examination of prosecution witnesses in the triple murder case of Dr. Kishan, and his two sub-ordinate Rajen and Token was conducted in the court of OP Saini, Special Judge, CBI, Tis Hazari, New Delhi from March 21 to March 25 and examined one of the family member of the late Dr Kisham along with the other six prosecution witnesses during the hearing of the court.
Advocate, ND Pancholi, appeared for the alleged accused Hospson Ningshen while Ak Singh, senior PP represented CBI during the examination of Nicky Singh a family member of the late Dr. Kishan, besides six prosecution witnesses including K Pukchao, SDPO Senapati, U Shamu Singh Inspector Senapati Police Station, Dr. Kh Pradip Kumar Singh of Forensic Medicine Department RIMS and Kachamthai Faiga Gangmei, MCS, SDC.
The sitting of the special court of CBI also examined other witnesses including Rave Raleng UDA, Manipur Secretariat and w/of Levi Zimik of NSCN(IM) and Ningshen Khurye Wungshung, elder brother of the accused Hopeson Ningshen.
On the other hand the court during the examination of U Shamu, Inspector Senapati PS, pointed out the absence of certain documents which were needed to be produced in front of the trial court.
Meanwhile the court granted a specific submission of Nicky, a family member of late Dr Kishan to engage a suitable advocate in the matter of legal representation even though he himself is a practicing lawyer.
It may be mentioned that a ruling of the Supreme Court had already been ordered to engage a suitable advocate by the victim family in the matter of legal representation while accepting the transfer petition of the present case by CBI from Ukhrul to a nominated CBI Court in New Delhi.
In the meantime, the next schedule of sittings has been ordered from April 28 to May 4 next, and six more prosecution witnesses including family members of the victims are likely to be examined, the reliable source added.
