IMPHAL, April 22: KVFA Khurai defeated LUKSA by 3-0 in today’s first match of the ongoing 13th Challenge Cup veteran football tournament being held at Mapal Kangjeibung. S Suresh put Khurai team ahead in the 22nd minute while K Kedajit increased the goal margin by netting in two goals in the 32nd and 46th minutes. Later, in the second match FLAM defeated Takhel by 2-0. Th Amuba of Takhel had a own goal in the 1st minute of the match to move FLAM ahead. Later, Surmani scored in the 27th minute to lead 2-0 which eventually become the final scoreline. Tomorrow, UMO will play IVFA while Chingtam will clash with FC Imphal.
