IMPHAL, May 4: The All Naga Students`™ Association Manipur (ANSAM) in a statement released by J. Kuno Sha, president, has appealed all schools and colleges in Naga area to remain close on April 6 as a mark of honor and respect to the two students who were killed by the Government forces and suffering of others during a protest held at Mao on May 6, 2010.
It further informed that the NH-39 from Tadubi to Mao gate will remain closed for all vehicular movement from 10 am till 3 pm in the evening, on account of the first death anniversary of the two deceased students at the Martyr park in NH-39.
The victim were killed by the Government of Manipur`™s draconian and barbaric state forces while rallying on peaceful protest on the ban of the entry of Th. Muivah general secretary of NSCN-IM, it said.
The rallyist were tortured and fired upon indiscriminately, whereby seriously injuring hundreds of peaceful rallyist and yet unsatisfied by the two precious student`™s lives that have lost, left many homeless in their home, it claimed.
The students`™ body expressing their regrets for the inconveniences that may be caused due to the closure, appealed and request all the concerned to kindly co-operate with them in the interest of the Naga issue at large and request to abide by the to the call of the students`™ body.
The students`™ body said that the two deceased victim identified as one Neli Chakho s/o (L) S. Neli of Kalinamai village and Dikho Loshuo s/o (L) H Dikho of Kalinamai village made a supreme sacrifice.
