Newmai News NetworkSENAPATI, May 25: While “cordially” inviting everyone to take part in the formal launching of ceremony of the Manipur unit of Naga People`s Party (NPF) at Senapati on Saturday, leaders of the party said that the sole aim has been to encompass and work together with all communities irrespective of caste, creed, colour, contours and also with all the like-minded political parties so as to give more teeth in bringing about peace and progress in the region.
NPF Manipur state unit president G Gaingam and its political affairs secretary Ningreingam Ruivah expressed their optimism that the regional political party will do well in the state.
NPF had come to power in Nagaland after the year 2003 assembly elections. It is running the government in Nagaland for the second consecutive term after winning the 2008 assembly elections.
Meanwhile, on behalf of the party, G. Gaingam and Ningreingam Ruivah have extended “cordial” invitation to all leaders of political parties, the social organisations, student bodies, women and youth organisations, the church and its associations, tribe based organisations, the peasants, intellectuals, academics and professionals of the state to “attend and be part of this auspicious occasion”. Gaingam and Ruivah also said leaders from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will participate in the Saturday ceremony at Senapati.
