Science topper talks of pursuing Physics at DU

IMPHAL May 29: Heikrujam Prasanjeet topped the Science stream with 479 marks with star mark in four subjects. He was a student of Human Resource Development Academy, Ghari. He said he wants to become Civil Servant. He opined that the erratic academic atmosphere in the state due to frequent bandh, blockade, strikes, etc has created certain uncertain mindsets in the student community and for this reason he intended to pursue his further studies in Physics honours at Delhi.

He is the son of H. Nabakumar and H.(O) Ibemmu and the youngest among three siblings. In HLSC examination conducted by BOSEM, he secured 7th position. Prasenjeet said that in his normal time, he use to study for three to four hours everyday, however during holidays he devotes more time than the usual schedule for studies. He also used to go for tuitions. He said `first of all I would like to pay my gratitude to my teachers and my family members. It is because of them that I have reached this stage`.

It may be mentioned that his father is working in Vigilance Deptt. as an officer and his mother is employed in PWD.
The second position is bagged by Amom Rohen Singh of Millenium Institute of Science. Secured a total of 464 marks.He is the S/o A (O) Memcha and A Jugeswore Singh of Taobungkhok Awang Leikai.And the third position goes to Ningthoujam Victor of Temple of Learning with a secured mark of 459. He is the S/o N. Basanti Devi and N. Hemajit Singh of Lilong Bazar.
