IMPHAL, June 8: The Standard Robert Hr. Sec. School has moved into the final of the qualifying round of the U-14 Imphal West Subroto Mukherjee football tournament.
In the first semi final played today at Practice Field, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Standard Robert defeated Nirmala Rani high school by 2-1 goals.
RK Sunil scored first goal for the winning team in the second minute while Malemnganba added another goal for in the 21st minute. N Suresh scored the only goal for Nirmala Rani School in the 38th minute.
In the second semis, Nilamani English School defeated Ideal Public School by 3-0 goals in the tie-break as both the team were locked at goalless draw during normal time.
In the tie-break Nilamani English School could score three goals against nil by the Ideal Public School.
Standard Robert will clash with Nilamani English School in the final on June 9.
