IMPHAL, July 15: The Agriculture Management Extension training institute has, in order to spread the uses of biomix manure in the state, organized a one day awareness programme on ‘uses of biomix’ at the BDO office, Wangoi under the sponsorship of Agritech service.
Speaking at the programme, director, SAMETI N Achaouba stated that the awareness which will be organized at all districts of the state has been organized with the main aim and objective of gradually reducing the use of chemical fertilizers in the state.
Emphasizing on the need of water management during farming, W Amutombi who presided over the programme maintained that water management is the most important factor for a fruitful farming and as such the state should first look into improving it in the state.
He also added that the use of biomix manure is another much needed factor in the field of farming.
An expert of the biomix manure, Raman Choudhury also demonstrated on the use of the manure.
