IMPHAL, July 14: ISAV Kongpal defeated FLAM, Pologround by 1-0 goals in today’s first match of the ongoing 1st Ng Shamu Veteran Football tournament being held at Megha High School ground, Malom.
All important goal for the Kongpal veteran team was scored by M Mathoi in the 17th minute.
FLAM had numerous chances to equalise the lone goal deficit but failed to convert any till the end of the match.
In the second match of the day, FVWA defeated Chingtam by 2-0 goals.
G Dhanakumar and L Dhonen scored for FCWA in the 35th and 44th minutes respectively.
Chingtam failed to score any goal during the match despite getting some close chances to reduce goal differences.
VSAN will clash UVSA in tomorrow’s first ground match while LUKSA will play AYMPA in the second ground match.
