IMPHAL, July 12: A 55 member strong state Kangfu team has left Imphal today for Dimapur, Nagaland to take part in the second North East Fungfu Championship which is to begin from July 13.
The Manipur Kungfu team comprises of 17 girls, 34 boys and four officials.
The team was flagged off from Khuman Lampak Sports Complex this morning by Dr Pradip, president Manipur Kungfu Brotherhood Union.
During the flagging off ceremony, treasure of the Manipur Kungfu Brotherhood Union, Th Surjakanta adviced players to compete at their level best at the championship so that Manipur emerge overall winner.
Technical manager of the Manipur team, Shanti also adviced players to expose their hidden talents at the NE championship.
