IMPHAL August 12: Leaders of several social organizations of Kumbi a/c have accused their MLA and pradhan of misinforming public through local dailies regarding the distribution of flood related relief materials.

The allegation was made today during a press conference held at the Manipur press club which was attended by K. Sarat Singh secretary LYWC, Leingangtabi, H. Tiken Singh secretary SSWC, Sangdangkhong, Y. Ojit Singh, secretary NYDO Napat, Y. Brojen Singh, secretary SYWC Napat, M. Khomdombi Devi, secretary Leingangtabi Meira Paebi lup and N. Ibosana Meitei, president NISA Napat wherein the leaders of the organizations have accused N. Mangi Singh, MLA Kumbi a/c of misleading the public regarding matters related to distribution of  relief materials to flood affected families in Kumbi a/c.

The representatives while addressing the conference resented that on the contrary to several news reports on the distributions of food grains and free medical camp being organized for the flood affected families of Kumbi a/c by the MLA, no such relief materials have been provided till today to the flood affected areas in Leingangtabi, Napat and Sandangkhong of Kumbi a/c.

While elaborating on the issue, they said that on learning about the report of the distribution of food grains (rice) and other relief necessities to flood victims in Kumbi areas, they investigated and found out that only a mere six kg of rice was provided to a single family which is in stark contrast to the news reports.

They further resented that the area has been reeling under acute medical health care issues as no authority concern has made any effort to console the affected families of the area so far.
