IMPHAL, December 31: The Gauhati High Court, Imphal Bench has issued a stay order regarding the promotional DPC of 16 Manipur Finance Service officers held on December 7 at the office chamber of the state chief secretary.
According to an official source, the High Court during its December 21 hearing headed by Justice TN K Singh had issued the stay order after considering the petition filed by the representatives of the Manipur Finance Service Officers Association and three others against the state government and 18 others.
It may be reminded that IFP had reported on December 11 that the said promotional DPC was made against the rules of the MPSC by amending the Manipur Finance Service Rules, 1998 on August 9, 2011.
The report, while quoting source had also reported that the newly appointed officers have superseded all other senior MFS officers and appeared the DPC which is currently under process and that the annual confidential report (ACR) of those 16 fresh officers was prepared on December 6 on the eve of the DPC.
Meanwhile, the court stay order has further directed that legal proceedings will be taken against the respondents if the interse final seniority list of members of the Manipur Finance Service is finalized without the consent of the court, the source informed.
