IMPHAL January 19: The Congress manifesto which was released by general secretary of the AICC, LuizinhoFaleiro today mentioned that the removal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act 1958 will be considered only after the improvement of the law and order of the state.
The release function held at Congress Bhawan and attended by the Chief Minister O Ibobi at BT Road today saw that the Congress if voted back to power will take up certain developments encompassing myriad issues. However, the congress manifesto regarding the AFSPA mentioned that ,“ Improvement of law and order will continue to be the main priority, AFSPA has already been withdrawn from the seven assembly segments. Further removal of AFSPA from the remaining part of the state will be considered as and when the situation of the law and order is improved”.
