IMPHAL, January 21: A remote controlled IED was found near the gate of the Trinamool Congress party candidate (Khurai AC) Leishangthem Sushindro @ Yaima at Khurai Chingtham Leikai, Tinseed Road at 1.30 pm today.
The IED was later retrieved by a team of Imphal East police and set off in a safe area.
In other incidences, bombs were found at the residences of Wahengbam Amusana of Bishnupur Ward no. 11 around 9.30 pm on January 20th; Haobam Megha of Tharoijam Maning Leikai at 1.30 pm; Haorungbam Tombi of Salam Aawang Leikai and Thokchom Nilakanta of Awang Khunou Maning Leikai. None of the bombs exploded or caused damage.
