IMPHAL, January 14: To check unwanted incidents and curtail UG attacks on Congress candidates, a combing operation was carried out by Imphal West police at Dharamsala area, Thangal bazar at about 2.30 pm today. Several youths were rounded up and their credentials verified. Some youths were further hauled up to the police station for further verification, there were however no arrests reported. The police team was led by Imphal West SP, Nishit Kumar Ujjwal.
Meanwhile in accordance with the SP order to remove tinted panelling from widows of four wheeled vehicles,police commandos have started conducting drives starting from Keisampat area today.
